Slice. Serve. Store. All in one!

A practical and beautifully simple setup for slicing homemade sourdough.

Our Acacia Sourdough Cutting Board & Magnetic Bow Knife combines a generously sized solid acacia wood cutting board with a dedicated sourdough bow knife that stores neatly underneath when you’re finished.

The curved bow knife uses a long serrated blade designed to saw smoothly through crusty sourdough loaves, while the wooden frame gives you a comfortable grip and plenty of control while slicing.

When you're finished, simply return the knife to its recessed storage space underneath the board. Built-in magnets hold the knife securely in place, keeping everything together and ready for your next loaf. At 390 × 200 mm, the board gives you plenty of room for slicing and serving without taking over your kitchen bench.

Why a bow knife?

The curved wooden frame keeps your hand away from the loaf while allowing the serrated blade to work through a firm sourdough crust with a gentle sawing motion. They're particularly handy for homemade sourdough, where a crisp crust and soft interior can make an ordinary kitchen knife frustrating to use.

The clever bit: magnetic storage

Bow knives work brilliantly, but their unusual shape can make them awkward to store.

This set solves that. The knife has its own purpose-made space underneath the cutting board, with magnets holding it in position when not in use. Your board and knife stay together without taking up unnecessary drawer or cupboard space.

Natural acacia wood

Acacia is a natural timber, so colour and grain will vary from piece to piece. These variations are part of the character of the wood and mean no two boards will look exactly the same.

Care

Hand wash with a damp cloth and mild detergent where required. Dry promptly after cleaning.

Do not soak or place in the dishwasher. As with other natural wooden kitchenware, occasional application of a suitable food-safe wood oil can help maintain the timber.

Already have a favourite cutting board?

Our Sourdough Bow Knife is also available separately. Once you’ve sliced your loaf, tuck it into our Beeswax-Lined Bread Bag to help keep it fresh for longer. The cutting board and knife set pairs beautifully with the bag for a thoughtful, practical gift for a sourdough lover.
