This durable, rustic Dutch oven provides even heat distribution for uniform cooking and excellent heat and moisture retention. 
 
We have been using our one for over a year and can confidently say it is more than up for the job. We have found keeping the lid on for the first part of baking and then taking the lid off to be the most effective. The lid can also be flipped over to be used as a frying pan on a camping fire or stove.
 
We bought a handle for taking the pot out of the fire and have added this to our kit below. Very handy and much safer to handle this way. You can also use this to take off the lid while it's hot. See images for this. The photos show our pot in use and the result. You will get a new one. :)
 
This Dutch oven has a great preheating capability, and your loaves start baking immediately, which results in an exceptional shape and crust.
 
Versatile in use, it can be placed over a campfire or charcoal. The lid can be flipped over and used as a frying pan, and sturdy feet ensure no burning on the base.
